ZZZZZZZ ZZZ… AMAIRA! BEACH CLEAN UP!
“I will be like what? Looks like sleep had made me forget that I had a fawn council trip in the morning. Or maybe it was just my early morning fogged head.

Has this ever happened to you?
You are peacefully sleeping, having a deep sleep with the best dreams in the world and your parents suddenly start pounding your feet and hand screaming, WAKE UP! Looks like we might have something in common. It’s a habit in me now though. Looks like I’ve got too many late sleeps with early mornings.
I scrambled out of bed rushing to the bathroom knowing I’m already late. (Somehow) next moment I knew I was in my dad’s car buckling my seatbelt in the sleepiest way possible.
Let me just say it i.e. the beach cleanup “Started” but it didn’t. It started with a huge, long and supersonically boring opening ceremony. Although it was nice to see and hear from wife of our CM Devendra Fadnavis , Mrs. Amruta Fadnavis and actor Ajay Devgan. But after that it was all blah blah blah who cares?
It is like saying, “Look we will make you wake up so early for a cleanup!!! We don’t feel like making you do it, just wait for another half an hour so your legs hurt.” ZZZZZZ… sorry! Dozed off!
When we finally “started” we were divided in groups of 3. As we walked ahead with trash buckets in our hands, we saw plastic bottles, flowers, red water bottles, caps, pieces of wood, clothes, at least 10 big concrete pieces, which looked to be debris from Ganesh murtis and concrete mixed in the mud and some tobacco packets and some white dabba(s) and at least 3 pounds of confetti anddddd… , looks like I got carried away. Still, I could have written 3 more pages though I didn’t have the time.
As we cleaned, we got further and further near the ocean. One of the Ganpati Bappa Murti was still going for Visarjan and I stared at it. It made me wonder, why do we actually immerse a god? aren’t they always in our heart? I might know the answer but now it is your turn to find out!
The clean up as it came to an end it turned out to be the perfect blend of fun, making the seashore shine and of course making a difference.
And See, this beach clean up turned out to be a dirty block buster after all!
